Journeyman alumni, Maxwell Tidey, returns as your host for the night. He brings charm and wit to the stage and says he stands up to comedy by simply being himself—“in the best and worst of ways.

Gerrit Elzinga!
From the town of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Gerrit Elzinga brings social commentary, clever observations, and personal stories to his acts. Early in his career, he frequented local comedy clubs, bars, restaurants, and other locations with a microphone to craft his jokes. Gerrit has been seen on Laughs on FOX, at Gilda’s LaughFest in Grand Rapids, MI opening for Nate Bargatze, competing in the Laughing Devil Comedy Festival in New York City, is the cohost of the “This Better Be Good,” podcast, and has two comedy albums under his belt.

Voted Best Comedian in Lansing, Nicole Melnyk is one of the hosts of Make It Spicy in Grand Rapids and a LaughFest comic. With inimitable comedic style Nicole has performed all over Michigan including (but not limited to) Detroit House of Comedy, The Independent Comedy Club in Hamtramck, Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Detroit, and One Night Stans in Waterford, as well as in Chicago and Ohio! Nicole opened for NYs Emma Willman and Michigans Dwayne Gill.
