WORLD’S BEST PUTTER
Put your skills to the test at Welter’s Folly for Journeyman’s Annual World’s Best Putter Competition.
Players will be randomly paired for their round, with individual scores recorded throughout the 18-hole course. Your final score will determine your World’s Best Putter result – and your seed in the Match Play bracket.
RULES
- Do not putt the putting course prior to teeing off. A small practice area in front of the course is available to warm up.
- 18 holes of stroke play.
- Limit of one club.
- Switch scorecards so you are keeping another player’s score.
- Determine who will tee off first by flipping a coin or using a tee. The lowest score on a hole has honors on the next hole. The player furthest from the hole putts first, continuing until the hole is complete.
- Tee off no more than 2 feet from the arrow designating the hole and not closer to the hole.
- If your ball bounces off the pin and does not go in the hole, continue putting. Hitting the pin does not count as a made putt. The pin may be removed before putting.
- No gimmies, mulligans, or replaying holes. All putts must end up at the bottom of the hole.
- If you putt into the rough, you may take relief by placing your ball on the green, no closer to the hole, with a 1-stroke penalty. You may also choose to play the ball from the rough with no penalty.
- Maximum score is 5. Pick up after 5 putts.
- Check and sign your scorecard and return it to the Event Manager.
- In the event of a tie, a sudden-death playoff will determine the World’s Best Putter champion.
