Each year, Journeyman Distillery and Islay’s Barrel invites breweries to join us for Islay’s Barrel-Aged Brewfest, a premier celebration of the Midwest’s most ambitious brewers. Whether you are coming to claim the Golden Barrel or simply to share your finest pours with an appreciative crowd, your craft has a home here for a good cause. Held in support of Islay’s Barrel, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing enrichment opportunities for Southwest Michigan youth, this event brings together craft beer lovers, families, and local community members for a full day of celebration.

Participating breweries will select a used Journeyman Spirit Barrel to age a custom creation that will then be released at the fest. Entries into the competition will be evaluated by a live panel of industry judges for the opportunity to win the Golden Barrel. They will also have a chance at winning people’s choice at the event.

We ask that our partners bring a curated selection of their own beverages to offer as samples, providing our guests with a diverse tasting experience that highlights the best of the regional craft scene.
