Michigan Craft Distillers Festival Set to Transform Monroe Into Spirits Destination

Monroe will become Michigan’s premier spirits destination this September as the inaugural Michigan Craft Distillers Festival brings together acclaimed distilleries for three days of tastings and entertainment. The new event promises to showcase the state’s growing craft spirits industry while boosting tourism in the historic downtown area.
Michigan Craft Distillers Festival Features Top State Producers
The festival runs September 11-13, 2025, and will feature established names in Michigan’s distilling scene. Ann Arbor Distilling Co., Detroit City Distillery, Grand Traverse Distillery, and Iron Fish Distillery with feature alongside Journeyman Distilling, Long Road Distillers, and Two James Spirits. Additional participants include Gypsy Distillery – High Five Spirits, Les Cheneaux Distillery, Mammoth Distilling, New Holland Brewing, and Wonderland Distilling.
Festival organizers have designed the event to go beyond standard tastings. Attendees can participate in distiller-led programs and cocktail crafting sessions. Live music performances will provide entertainment throughout the weekend. Local food trucks and craft vendors will operate along Monroe’s River Raisin waterfront.

Michigan Craft Distillers Festival Aims to Boost Regional Tourism
Explore Monroe serves as the primary festival sponsor and views the event as a significant economic opportunity for the region. The organization has partnered with the Michigan Craft Distillers Association, Michigan Wine and Beer Portal, Imperial Beverage, and the City of Monroe to launch the festival.
Single-day admission costs $30, while two-day passes are available for $50. A VIP experience begins Thursday, September 11, featuring exclusive bourbon tastings, cocktails, and live music. Hotel and shuttle packages will accommodate out-of-town visitors.
